Homelab Infrastructure

Modular infrastructure-as-code homelab environment on Proxmox using Terraform for LXC provisioning and Ansible for configuration management.

The Narrative

Architected a modular homelab environment on Proxmox leveraging Terraform to provision LXC containers and manage infrastructure state deterministically.

Configured automated, zero-downtime deployments using Ansible playbooks for services like PostgreSQL, Jenkins, MongoDB, and Plex.

Implemented centralized Terraform variables and SSH agent forwarding to ensure zero private keys are stored on the infrastructure nodes.

Deployed a Traefik reverse proxy with self-signed wildcard certificates to securely expose internal services with clean domain-based routing.

System Highlights

Proxmox LXC

Terraform modules dynamically provision lightweight unprivileged and privileged LXC containers.

Ansible config

Automated role-based configuration of databases, CI/CD pipelines, and media servers.

Security First

Leveraged SSH agent forwarding and strict key isolation for secure continuous deployment.

Traefik Proxy

Native reverse proxy integration handling routing and internal TLS certificate management.
